Garrett Bentley is an aspiring English teacher, currently attending classes at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. Prior to embarking on his education journey, Garrett served eight years in the United States Marine Corps. There he was deployed to several countries around the world. Garrett’s experiences abroad cultivated a passion for cultural exchange; exposure to food, language, and literature from around the world fueled his desire to understand the experiences of others. With a teaching philosophy grounded in process over product, meaningful learning, and collaboration, Garrett endeavors to become an educator that encourages an appreciation for diversity and world literature.
