
My name is Tucker Quering, my pronouns are he/they, and I am an aspiring math teacher at the University of Alabama in Huntsville. I’m a passionate math lover, and I hope that as a teacher I’ll be able to get all my students excited about math the same way I am regardless of their background or prior math experience. But in addition to sharing my love of math, I want to teach to create a more just and equitable future. I believe that education can either reproduce and reinforce the existing inequalities in society or challenge and disrupt them; I want to make my best effort to do the latter in my future classroom and community.
